Cornerstone is the debut album of award-winning singer and songwriter Jamie Alimorad. The album comprises of four catchy pop/rock songs that were composed while Alimorad attended Northeastern University. Cornerstone captures exactly what Alimorad is all about- a classic sound with a modern twist. Raised on artists such as The Tubes, The Beatles and Toto, Alimorad has been able to mold himself into an artist mature beyond his years.

"In today's music there's not much emphasis on melody," Alimorad says. "When I hear songs on the radio, rock music particularly, the melody tends to stay on one or two notes and the song itself tends to stay very static. I grew up listening to artists of the 60's, 70's and 80's who wrote songs that transformed throughout the entire piece. Somewhere along the way that was lost and I know there's still a cry for that type of song out there today, and that's what I try to do."

The debut effort kicks off with the catchy, up-tempo lead single "What You Have". The track begins with Alimorad's edgy vocals and guitar. The band then kicks in and this song is off and running and the listener is on an exciting ride that is reminiscent of early Beatles tunes. "She Is..." is a modern day power ballad that is as beautiful as it is emotional. The combination of Alimorad's booming vocals, the soothing nature of the strings, heart-tugging guitar solo and power of the drums make this a stand out track. "Stay With Me" brings back the 80's rock flair with a dance element. There's no doubt you'll be singing along to this one in no time. The album wraps up with "In Her Smile" a relaxing, mid-tempo ballad about going home to the one you love.
